Isles, Londonderry, also known as Derry, is located on the north
west tip of Northern Ireland, 70 miles from Belfast.

Depart Belfast

City walking tour
Embark on a walking tour of the 17th century walls. Visit some of
the city’s landmarks including the Guildhall, St. Columb’s
Cathedral and the unique Craft Village.

Museum of Free Derry
Visit the newly opened Museum of Free Derry situated amongst
the Bogside Murals and experience the dramatic events of Derry’s
recent past.

Lunch
Enjoy a pub lunch in one of the many traditional bars.
2pm
Boat trip on the River Foyle
Take a boat trip on the majestic River Foyle from Derry Quay to
Culmore Bay.
3.30pm
Tower Museum
Tour the award-winning museum featuring “The Story of Derry” and
“An Armada Shipwreck – La Trinidad Valencera” exhibitions.
4.30pm
Take an open top bus tour – a perfect way to view the fantastic
architecture, culture and scenery of the city.

Places to See:
Walls of Derry
Built 400 years ago to protect the new Plantation town from attack,
the walls have never been breached and are completely intact. Also
remaining are 24 original cannons. |

St. Columb’s Cathedral
Named after the Irish saint, Colmcille, founder of a monastery in
Londonderry in the 6th century, the Cathedral was completed in 1633
and was the first built in the British Isles after the
Reformation. |

Craft Village Relive the city as
it was between the 16th and 19th centuries in this unique area
which features craft workshops and stores. |

Museum of Free Derry
The Museum focuses on the people’s story of the civil rights
movement in Derry and has an archive of over 25,000 individual
items, many donated by local residents. Harbour Museum Housed in
the former Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners offices,
dating from 1882, the museum commemorates the city’s maritime
tradition. |

Tower Museum
The museum houses two main exhibitions - one recounts the history
of the city and the other includes original artefacts unearthed
from a Spanish Armada galleon, wrecked off the nearby Donegal
coast. |

The Guildhall
A neo-gothic building, the Guildhall is a venue for concerts, plays
and exhibitions and features some of the finest stained glass
windows in Ireland. |
