Walking
Enjoy an unbeatable array of walks with touches of the
countryside in the city at Cave Hill or for a gentler pace, meander
along the River Lagan on the scenic Towpath. Stretch your legs in
the fresh air of one of Belfast’s many parks or leave the city to
take up the challenge of scaling the heights of the Mourne
Mountains or the Glens of Antrim.
Golfing
Golfers are spoilt for choice in Northern Ireland with over 90
courses, all within a maximum of two hours drive from the Port of
Belfast. From the pedigree of the oldest club in Ireland, Royal
Belfast Golf Club, to the new Lough Erne Golf Resort designed by
Nick Faldo, there is a course to suit everyone. You can even play
indoors!
Cycling & Adventure Sports
Take to the open road with the wide variety of cycle routes
available for all levels of fitness. Lagan and Lough Cycle Way, a
21 mile cycle ride connects Belfast with the City of Lisburn. For
an adrenaline rush, why not experience the thrills of sailing or
horse riding or the highs of a helicopter lesson or rock climbing?
Just a short drive from the port, there’s a wide range of adventure
sports available such as quad biking, water sports and even
paintball!

Enjoy a well deserved lunch in the clubhouse or a nearby
restaurant.

Afternoon activities
After lunch, spend the afternoon enjoying some outdoor pursuits.
Cycle, fish, go horseriding, sailing, off-road rally driving or
visit one of the splendid parks.

Northern Ireland offers world-class game and coarse fishing as well
as sea angling. Decide between the lakes of Fermanagh, the coasts
of Counties Down, Antrim and Londonderry or Armagh and Tyrone’s

One of Belfast’s most popular parks and a key part of our Victorian
heritage. Home to the Palm House dating back to 1852. |
