Disability Belfast

Disabled Go

We have teamed up with http://www.disabledgo.info/ to assist people with disabilities, their families and friends have a more enjoyable visit to Belfast.

What is Disabled Go?

Disabled Go provides a national access guide on the Internet. This guide gives detailed information on how accessible certain venues are. It allows people with disabilities to judge for themselves which shops and services are accessible to them.

Disabled Go researches venues in person and on site. The information is then put onto the website in the form of a Detailed Access Guide.

Which venues have been assessed for accessibility?

We held consultation meetings with key stakeholders from the business, voluntary and community sectors. We asked them to suggest a range of venues to be reviewed for accessibility.

A total of 986 venues have been researched by a team from Disabled Go.

Some visitor attractions included in the Disabled Go project are:

- Belfast Castle
- Belfast City Hall
- Belfast Welcome Centre
- St Georges Market
- Malone House
- Smithfield Market
- Waterfront Hall.

Visit http://www.disabledgo.info/ for their access information.
